Introduction
Online exhibition: Paderewski – Polish Pianist in America is based on a collection of documents dedicated to Ignacy Jan Paderewski housed at the Piłsudski Institute archives. The collection contains eight volumes (1902-1995) including: a copy of a will, materials relating to the transfer of Ignacy Paderewski heart to the American Czestochowa and bringing his ashes to Poland, correspondence, brochures, programs and invitations to concerts of Ignacy Paderewski, and newspaper articles concerning Ignacy Paderewski.
This exhibition is focused on concert programs of Ignacy Jan Paderewski in America in the years: 1924-1933. The programs have been scanned, converted into pdf format and can be viewd by clicking the pictures. The exhibit also includes a biogram of Ignacy Jan Paderewski, his photos and two Paderewski speeches:
